Aprio Legal Expands with Addition of Attorneys Adam Tucker and James McKain

Two Directors Join to Strengthen Estate Planning and Business Law Practices

SCOTTSDALE – June 22, 2026 – Aprio Legal continues to expand with the addition of attorneys: Adam Tucker and James McKain. They bring additional depth to the firm’s ability to deliver tailored, multidisciplinary counsel across the firm’s estate planning and business law practices.

Each director brings deep experience as a trusted advisor, guiding individuals, families, and business owners through complex wealth transfer, succession, and transactional needs. Their addition reflects Aprio Legal’s continued investment in building a modern legal practice that integrates legal insight with the broader business, tax, wealth, talent, and advisory solutions across the Aprio platform.

“Adam and James bring a strong combination of technical depth, practical judgment, and client-centric thinking,” said Andy Kvesic, CEO of Aprio Legal. “As we continue to build a differentiated legal practice, their experience strengthens our ability to deliver connected solutions that help clients navigate complexity and seize opportunity.”

Adam Tucker – Director

Adam Tucker joins Aprio Legal with nearly ten years of experience helping individuals, families, and middle-market business owners navigate complex business law, estate planning, and corporate matters. Prior to joining Aprio Legal, Adam founded Intrepid Law, where he advised clients across multiple industries on corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, trust and estate administration, business succession, and charitable planning. Adam brings a unique combination of legal and financial advisory experience, having also served as a financial advisor.

Adam earned a JD from Florida Coastal School of Law, an MBA from Washburn University, and a bachelor of science from Emporia State University. He is licensed to practice in Florida and Missouri and is deeply engaged in his community, having served in leadership and board member roles with Special Olympics Florida.

James McKain – Director

James McKain joins Aprio Legal with 17 years of experience helping individuals, families, and business owners take control of their legacy through estate planning, business succession planning, and the practice of law. He advises clients across the United States and from varied financial backgrounds, from young professionals starting and growing their families, to business owners building wealth, to retirees looking to provide for the generation behind them. Whether clients have an ultra-high net worth in need of sophisticated planning or are just starting out and need the basics, James focuses on helping them use what they have built to provide for what they care about. His practice centers on trusts and estates, business succession planning, and business creation.

James earned a JD from the University of Kansas School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas. He is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Missouri Bar Association, the Johnson County Bar Association, and the Kansas City Metro Bar Association.
