Andy Kvesic brings two decades of diverse legal experience spanning litigation, government, regulatory affairs, and corporate counsel roles. At Aprio Legal, he serves as trusted outside general counsel to high-net-worth individuals, established businesses, hyper-growth companies, and state agencies, guiding them through complex legal challenges and strategic opportunities.

Experience

Andy began his career in Phoenix, practicing complex business litigation for nearly a decade at a large law firm. He went on to serve as a prosecutor with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, focusing on high-profile racketeering, securities fraud, and public corruption cases.

He was later appointed Chief Counsel and Legal Division Director of the Arizona Corporation Commission, where he advised five elected commissioners on statewide public utility matters and helped shape some of the Commission’s most influential policies and judicial outcomes.

Following his public service, Andy became General Counsel for a private family office, overseeing national legal affairs for a portfolio spanning financial services, private equity, professional sports, and Fintech. He has tried both civil and criminal cases, represented clients before state agencies and courts across Arizona, and argued before the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Arizona Supreme Court.

Nationally recognized as one of the leading advisors on Arizona Alternative Business Structures (ABS), Andy has successfully counseled numerous clients through the ABS formation and approval process. His wide-ranging knowledge enables him to provide exceptional value in litigation, criminal matters, appeals, government and regulatory affairs, crisis management, and private business law.

In 2018, Andy was named Counsel of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel. He is also a Flinn-Brown Fellow through the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership and currently serves on both the Arizona Supreme Court’s Committee on Alternative Business Structures and the Attorney Regulation Advisory Committee.
