Carolyn (Carrie) R. Tatkin is a Director at Aprio Legal with 35 years of experience representing both creditors and debtors in consumer and business bankruptcy matters. She is highly regarded for her ability to counsel clients through complex financial challenges, whether through bankruptcy proceedings or alternative resolutions. Experience

Carrie has handled all aspects of bankruptcy practice, including trial and appellate matters before state and federal courts, the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to her bankruptcy work, she has practiced in commercial litigation, insurance bad faith, construction defect litigation, and general business and commercial law.

Since joining Aprio Legal in 2009, Carrie has also focused on mentoring and professional development, sharing her extensive knowledge with younger colleagues. She has presented numerous seminars on bankruptcy topics and volunteers her time with the Arizona Bankruptcy Court’s Self-Help Center, the Arizona State Bar lawyer referral services, and the Maricopa County Bar’s Volunteer Lawyer Program. Carrie frequently assists clients on a reduced-fee or pro bono basis, reflecting her dedication to improving access to justice.
